ServSafe® Alcohol Certification

The ServSafe® Alcohol training gives restaurant and food service industry managers and employees the knowledge, confidence, and tools to think and react successfully and responsibly when serving and selling alcoholic beverages. Many insurance companies offer discounts on premiums if the operation has staff that are certified in responsible alcohol service.

This 3-4 hour ServSafe® Alcohol certification course can be accessed in one of two ways:


With this option, the student will access the official online course and be able complete the training at their own pace and schedule. The purchase of the online ServSafe® Alcohol training from includes the proctor of the official exam. Once the student finishes the online course, simply contact us to schedule the exam proctor.

With this option, a Raise-The-Grade® instructor will come to your location and provide in-person training in regards to the safe service of alcohol. The ServSafe® Alcohol training can be set at a time of day, whether it be morning, afternoon, or evening to best suit the operational needs. The ServSafe® Alcohol training includes:

  • Instructor led training; Q&A session in regards to specific NC, SC, and VA laws
  • Fundamentals of Responsible Alcohol Service 3rd ed. book
  • ServSafe® Alcohol scantron (for the exam)
  • ServSafe® Safe Alcohol Service certificate

One of our Raise the Grade instructors will come to your location and lead the ServSafe Alcohol training at the time that best suits the operational needs of your company.  We require a MINIMUM of 3 students for this service.  The ServSafe Alcohol training incldues: Instructor led training, a ServSafe Alcohol scantron (for the exam) and a ServSafe Safe Alcohol Service certificate.

Highly interactive, instructor led class streamed live from a commercial kitchen that can be accessed from the student's home or workplace.  This course is currently offered by APPOINTMENT only.  Additional cost $12/student to access the exam online ServSafe Alcohol exam.

Students access the official online ServSafe Alcohol training course and are able to complete the training at their own pace and schedule.  Includes the ServSafe Safe Alcohol Service primary exam and certificate.
